The Detroit Red Wings have selected Nate Danielson with the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The Alberta native is coming off a nice season with the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings where he registered 33 goals and 78 points in 68 contests while he posted 23 goals and 57 points in 53 games as a 17-year-old in the 2021-22 season. Danielson is a fast-moving center who uses his speed to create scoring chances off the rush and will be able to drive possession as a result. Red Wings fans know a similar player in Dylan Larkin who is widely regarded as one of the best skaters in the NHL.--Brenton KempRead More News
