Deonte Harris Appealing Three-Game Suspension
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Deonte Harris is appealing a three-game suspension from the NFL for a DUI arrest, according to sources. Harris had one catch for nine yards and also served as punt and kick returner in the Thursday night loss to the Buffalo Bills. He was informed of his suspension before the game and decided to appeal, which will allow him to continue playing until the appeals process plays out. It means he could be available for the Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 2. Harris plead not guilty to driving under the influence following a July traffic incident. He was sentenced to one year of supervised probation. Ty Montgomery and Lil'Jordan Humphrey could benefit the most behind Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway if/when Harris misses any games.
