Maybe Denny Hamlin took what happened last week personally. Maybe Hamlin was dogging it a bit in the practice session. Whatever it was, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver looked great in qualifying. He ended up second and will start on the front row Sunday next to Ryan Blaney. Hamlin's 27.2 second lap came up just short to Blaney's 27.127. The No. 11 car has ranked second over the past three years at Phoenix with a driver rating of greater than 113. Furthermore, Hamlin has five top-ten's and a win in the last six races on the 1.022-mile track. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
