Davis Thompson Starts 2025 Season Well
Davis Thompson performed well at last week's The Sentry, finishing tied for 36th. He will now shift his focus to this week's Sony Open, which takes place at Waialae Country Club. This will be Thompson's third appearance at the Sony Open; previously, he finished tied for 57th in 2024 and tied for 54th in 2023. It's important to note that over the past 12 months, Thompson ranks in the 48th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150 to 200 yards from the fairway. This is particularly important since over 49% of approach shots at last year's Sony Open came from this distance. While Thompson could be a solid addition to DFS lineups this week, including him does carry some risk.
