6 months agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price was removed from Saturday's start after experiencing flu-like symptoms; he faced just three hitters. According to manager Alex Cora, Price had been experiencing similar symptoms since Tuesday, but he granted Price's wish to pitch through it, despite catcher Sandy Leon recommending the southpaw sit the start out. The 33-year-old was able to get through 15 pitches, and actually recorded a strikeout before being removed. Granted his health improves and the Sox keep the same rotation schedule, Price will get the Yankees on Thursday in what will likely be a tough return to the mound.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
