David Mayo Could Be Back In Three Weeks
4 years agoNew York Giants linebacker David Mayo (knee) is expected to have surgery to trim his injured meniscus, according to a source. It won't be a full repair, so that could put him back on the field in around three weeks. It's good news for Mayo, but there's still a good chance that he won't be completely up to speed by Week 1. New York's linebacking depth will probably be tested early on. Blake Martinez is the star of this group up the middle, but Ryan Connelly may be forced into a starting role if Mayo isn't ready by the season opener. The Giants Defense as a whole is well off the fantasy radar in standard leagues.
