David Dahl Starts Colorado Comeback
6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl began the process of digging his team out of a three-run hole on Saturday when he led off the seventh inning with a triple. The extra-base hit would begin the push of the dominoes that led to starter Mike Foltynewicz being pulled from the game, and it was the catalyst that would bring Colorado back within one run after trailing through the entire game. Following the trend of the team's entire offense, Dahl has hit well since returning from the Injured List on April 18. He's safely hit in every game he's started, and he's racked up seven extra-base hits. His core injury is one of those that can plague a hitter throughout a season, so the power is a good sign, but Dahl is still without a home run since his return so perhaps he's not entirely back to full strength just yet. If he can stay healthy, the power should continue to return over the next couple of weeks.
