Davante Adams In Another Stratosphere
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams became the only player in NFL history in 2020 with 100-plus catches and 18 touchdowns in a single regular season. He's also the only player to average eight-plus catches per game and one-plus touchdown per game. Adams averaged a league-high 3.1 receiving yards per route run this year, According to Next Gen Stats. He's the first player to lead the NFL in receiving yards per game and touchdowns in a season since 2004. Adams is one of four players with 500-plus catches and 50-plus touchdowns since 2014. It will be interesting to see how he fares against Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, an elite lockdown corner who should follow Adams around on Saturday. Green Bay may use Adams more in the slot in order to try and avoid Ramsey in the Divisional Round. Adams is an elite WR for fantasy managers, but things won't be easy against Ramsey and the Rams this weekend. Seven of Adams' 18 TDs came when aligned in the slot this year, third-most in the NFL.
