Darren Fells Receives Two-Year Extension
5 years agoThe Houston Texans agreed to a two-year, $7 million extension with tight end Darren Fells on Tuesday, according to sources. Fells will make $4 million in 2020 after setting a career high with seven touchdowns in 2019. The soon-to-be 34-year-old will be the top pass-catching tight end for quarterback Deshaun Watson again next season, but Jordan Akins and Jordan Thomas also loom as players that could take targets away. Don't overvalue Fells in fantasy drafts this fall just because of his seven scores last season, as he'll mainly be a touchdown-dependent TE2 in fantasy.
