Darnell Mooney Still In Concussion Protocol
12 months agoChicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney (concussion) is still in the league's concussion protocol and will not practice on Wednesday. Mooney did not play in the Week 17 win over the Atlanta Falcons and is trending in the wrong direction to suit up this Sunday at Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in the Week 18 regular season finale. The Bears are already eliminated from the playoffs, so they certainly won't rush Mooney back onto the field this weekend. If the 26-year-old doesn't play against Green Bay, he'll end his frustrating fourth year in the NFL with 31 catches on 61 targets for 414 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games played. If Mooney ends up missing a second straight game, rookie Tyler Scott will once again have a bigger role behind DJ Moore. Equanimeous St. Brown, Velus Jones Jr. and Trent Taylor would also be more involved.
