Daniel Jones To Practice In Full, Appears Ready To Play
3 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (concussion) is expected to be a full practice participant on Friday and "appears" ready to play in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams after suffering a concussion in the Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Joe Judge. The final hurdle will be Jones gaining clearance from an independent neurologist before he can suit up on Sunday. Through five games, Jones has career-highs in completion percentage (64.3), passing yards (256.4), rushing yards (39.4), passer rating (95.6) and giveaways per game (0.4). The Giants have been optimistic on Jones playing all week, and it looks like that will come to fruition. However, Jones will be without running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and wide receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) against a strong Rams defense, so he'll be a shaky QB2 coming off his head injury.
