Damien Williams Tested Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoChicago Bears running back Damien Williams, who was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday, tested positive for the virus, according to a source. If Williams is vaccinated, he'll need to be asymptomatic and return two negative tests within 24 hours in order to be cleared to play in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. In other words, it's extremely likely that Williams won't be active this Sunday. That means that rookie Khalil Herbert, who out-carried Williams last week, should be in line for a massive workload this weekend with Ryan Nall backing him up. Herbert should've already been added off the waiver wire in most leagues by fantasy managers in need of RB help in Week 6. The rookie will be on the RB2/3 borderline if Williams is indeed inactive.
