Cowboys Want Dak Prescott Deal Done Before March 10
5 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are making a push to get a long-term contract extension with quarterback Dak Prescott done before March 10. The franchise-tag deadline closes on March 10, so if the Cowboys can't get an extension with Prescott done by then, they will put the franchise tag on him. It will be extremely difficult to get done, despite the fact that Prescott wants an extension and the Cowboys are pushing this hard as their No. 1 offseason priority. The 26-year-old quarterback turned down $33 million per year before the 2019 season and will likely be pushing for well over $35 million a season in extension talks. He did throw for a career-high 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 2019, and he'll be a high-end fantasy QB1 going into fall drafts.
