Free-agent starting pitcher Corey Kluber (shoulder), who has struggled with injuries in the last two years, is on schedule for a normal spring training and will throw for interested teams next week. The two-time Cy Young winner will throw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Jan. 13 in Florida, where the 34-year-old righty has spent half his offseason. Kluber won 83 games and had a 2.85 ERA while averaging 218 innings per season with the Indians from 2014 to 2018, but he suffered a fractured ulna bone in his right arm on a line drive in May of 2019 and suffered a season-ending strain in his right shoulder just 18 pitches into his Rangers debut in 2020. His agent, B.B. Abbott, said Kluber has thrown three bullpens already and will have a final MRI exam in the next nine days. The veteran right-hander could be a nice fantasy bargain in 2021, but he's also thrown just 36 2/3 innings the last two years because of injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
