Corey Dickerson Set To Long Toss This Weekend
Corey Dickerson (shoulder) will throw long toss this weekend, announced the team’s director of sports medicine Wednesday. Dickerson has been out since April 4 with a strained shoulder, and he suffered a setback in late April that delayed his rehab. In his place, the Pirates have used a combination of Melky Cabrera, Bryan Reynolds, and also Jason Martin who has since been optioned to Triple-A. Outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall also began his rehab assignment Tuesday and could make his Pirates debut within the next two weeks. Dickerson is possibly looking at a mid-June activation of all goes well in his rehab.
