According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Heat are nearing an agreement with free-agent center Cody Zeller. The 2013 No. 4 overall pick has spent most of his career in Charlotte before most recently spending 27 games with Portland in 2021-22. He's averaged 8.5 points and 6.0 rebounds during his career and will add some much-needed depth and size underneath the basket. Miami is also adding Kevin Love, and with the impending return of Omer Yurtseven (ankle), Zeller could see the bulk of his work in defensive scenarios.
