Jaxson Dart to Play in Preseason Opener
Jaxson Dart will play in the team's preseason opener this Saturday against the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Brian Daboll. It's unclear how long Dart will play or if starter Russell Wilson will also get some reps in. The G-Men traded back into the first round in the NFL draft in April to select Dart as potentially their QB of the future, but he will most likely start his rookie season as the QB behind Wilson and veteran Jameis Winston. Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka said that Dart is "continuing to grow and learn every day" during training camp. It's good progress for the Ole Miss product as he enters his first year in the NFL, but for fantasy purposes, he's basically off the radar in single-year leagues with the possibility that he doesn't take any snaps in 2025 if Wilson and Winston both stay healthy and are productive.
