Cleveland Selects Collin Sexton With Eighth Pick
Kyrie Irving to Boston before the 2017 season, the Cavaliers were in need of a point guard with upside, and they'll hope that they've gotten that in Sexton. Sexton averaged 19.2 points per game last season for the Crimson Tide, but he isn't a great passer and took too many midrange jumpers in college. He's a competitive player who has shown an ability to get to the rim and his passing issues could be overlooked if LeBron James returns to Cleveland, but a LeBron-less Cavaliers team with Sexton as its primary ball-handler could struggle with turnovers. He has major bust potential in fantasy next season, but he could carve out a role on many rosters if Cleveland asks him to shoulder the scoring load. Like everything else in Cleveland, so much depends on what happens with James.
