Christian Yelich Expected To Be Ready For Spring Training
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (knee), who fractured his right kneecap last September, said he will be ready for spring training. "If the Milwaukee Brewers had an actual game tomorrow," Yelich said, "then I would be able to participate." The Brewers will be careful with the 2018 National League MVP, but the expectation is that Yelich will be in the Opening Day lineup on March 26. The 28-year-old still had stellar numbers in 2019 before his injury, hitting .329/.429/.671 with 44 home runs, 100 runs scored, 97 RBI and 30 stolen bases in 489 at-bats. He'll be a first-round fantasy selection in 2020 despite coming off a pretty serious injury.
