Christiaan Bezuidenhout surprised many with his T4 finish at the WM Phoenix Open last week. The 30-year-old South African impressively gained four and a half strokes from tee-to-green and over seven strokes putting, remaining in contention throughout all four rounds. However, that tournament marked the first time he gained strokes on approach since August of 2024, a stretch of golf that included seven other measured starts. Bezuidenhout may not fare as well as last week, as he ranks 66th in approach play, 68th in total driving, 70th in opportunities gained, and 68th in par 5 scoring over the last 36 rounds. These stats are typically a recipe for disaster at Torrey Pines, and fantasy managers should consider tempering their expectations for Bezuidenhout following last week's dominant performance.--Ryan Hickey
