Chris Sale Throws Another Bullpen Wednesday
Chris Sale threw his second bullpen session in as many days on Wednesday in anticipation of his start in Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Friday. "Yesterday, the bullpen was okay, but it was indoors," manager Alex Cora said. "It was more about mechanics and getting loose. Right now he's throwing a bullpen outside. That's good. He felt that he needed to go out there and feel the mound, be outside. Throwing a bullpen in the cage isn't perfect. He's out there and he'll be ready for Friday." The focus this week has been on correcting a mechanical flaw that he discovered in his last two starts of the regular season. The southpaw is not expected to have any limitations on Friday, making him a strong DFS pick against either the Yankees or A's.
