The southpaw has pitched just 48.1 innings over the last three seasons due to injury, including a rib fracture, broken pinky, and broken wrist sustained over three separate incidents in 2022. The former first-round pick has looked great when healthy, headlined by a 1.98 FIP in 2019 and 13.8 WAR over his first two seasons with the Red Sox. More recently, he accrued 7.94 K/9, 1.59 BB/9, and a 50.0 GB% through his two outings last year. With Nathan Eovaldi and Michael Wacha off the roster, Sale has a clear path to being Boston's ace in 2023 as long as he can stay healthy. All signs indicate that the 6-foot-6 hurler should be ready for Opening Day, making him a value pick at his current ADP of 169.0.
