Logan Webb Takes Tough-Luck Loss To Twins
Logan Webb allowed five hits and two earned runs over seven innings in his team's 2-1 road loss to the Minnesota Twins. The 28-year-old walked one and struck out nine, falling to 4-3 on the season. The lone blemish against Webb came in the bottom of the third inning when designated hitter Trevor Larnach launched a two-run homer off him. He was excellent for the second straight start, but Twins pitcher Joe Ryan was equally as good and able to out-duel him. The former fourth-round pick has been stellar thus far, letting up three or fewer runs in all but one of his nine starts. He'll bolster a strong 2.60 ERA and 1.16 WHIP (65:14 K:BB) into his next start against the Athletics at home.
