Chris Kirk missed the cut at the American Express last week by shooting right near even par in all three rounds. Kirk just could never get on a run. It is odd that in two consecutive third rounds, the American golfer has put himself out of contention with erratic iron play. If he can set up shots better this week, Pebble Beach is a little more interesting in that the third courses are between 6,800 and 7,000 yards. At the very least, Kirk not being able to drive the ball far (just 296 yards) will not hurt him at all.
