Chris Ivory 2018 Outlook: Same Guy As Last Year
6 years agoLast season, Chris Ivory was the backup to Leonard Fournette in Jacksonville. Here is how fantasy owners handled Ivory: he was picked up when Fournette was injured/suspended, spot started if necessary, and subsequently dropped when Fournette returned. Now in Buffalo, Ivory's only value stems from the potential 20 touches he would receive in the event LeSean McCoy missed a game. In what very well may be the league's worst offense, Ivory does not have much upside, but any RB touching the ball 15-20 times is usually worth starting somewhere. Ivory's value could be in flux over the coming weeks as the NFL and the Bills investigate the allegations against McCoy that he viciously attacked a former girlfriend, his son, and his dog, and also took performance enhancing drugs. If any portion of the allegations are true, McCoy's career is over. That would leave Ivory as the starting RB and in line for significant volume...for now. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Bills sign DeMarco Murray if Shady is suspended, though.
