Chase Elliott Has Transmission Trouble, Finishes 25th
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott finished 25th in Saturday's Pocono Organics 325 at Pocono Raceway. Elliott started in fifth, but a problem with the transmission, towards the end of the second stage, dropped him from contention. Elliott was not able to keep the car in fourth gear and had to hold it in gear with one hand. Before the troubles, Elliott was running solidly inside the top 10, getting as high as second. He will start Sunday's Pocono 350 from the 25th spot and offers a massive upside in DFS lineups. However, it is important to note that if the No. 9 team decides to change the transmission, Elliott will start from the rear. Elliott is expected to rebound in race two and will be a popular lineup choice.
