Carter Hart and the Philadelphia Flyers were both willing to put last year behind them as they agreed to a three-year contract on Monday. The contract pays Hart $3.979 million AAV. It is no secret that both parties had a 2020-21 to forget but believe that was a blip as opposed to a trend. In his first two years with Philadelphia, Hart had started 70 games producing a .915 save percentage and 40 wins. Last season, the goaltender won just nine of his 25 starts with only a .877 save percentage. It was a disaster for both team and the goaltender. With a roster shakeup this offseason and a recommitment to fundamentals, the expectation is that Hart will be more like his old self in 2021-22 and beyond. That is Philadelphia's hope.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
