Carson Wentz Going On Injured Reserve
2 years agoThe Washington Commanders are placing quarterback Carson Wentz (finger) on Injured Reserve on Saturday with a broken ring finger on his right hand, according to a source. It means that he'll miss at least the next four games. The hope is that Wentz can play upon being eligible to return, but he will miss the revenge game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz needed surgery to fix his broken finger. In the meantime, Taylor Heinicke will take over under center for the Commanders and will be an option as a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers in superflex leagues. Wentz isn't a must-stash in two-QB leagues. In his first six games in D.C., he threw for 1,489 yards on 232 attempts with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.
