Carson Benge Promoted to Double-A Binghamton
Carson Benge is getting promoted to Double-A Binghamton. The 2024 first-round draft pick spent the first half of the season at High-A Brooklyn, amassing a .302/.417/.480 slash line, including four home runs with a South Atlantic League-leading 18 doubles and five triples. A better-than-average 18.5 percent strikeout rate was paired with an impressive 15.1 percent walk rate, the latter of which helped him get on base and rack up 15 steals through 60 games for the Cyclones. MLB.com's Top Prospects list projects a 2027 ETA for Benge to arrive in the majors, but he has the skills to get there sooner than that.
