3/8:St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez (shoulder) is still five to seven days away from throwing, and his chances of being ready for Opening Day are shrinking. Martinez dealt with arm issues last year that caused him to be moved to the bullpen late in the season. With St. Louis having plenty of rotation options, it seems likely that he'll start the year in the bullpen again whenever he's ready. That would obviously be a big blow to Martinez's fantasy value, but he's still worth taking in the middle rounds in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
