Carlos Correa Tests Positive For COVID
3 years agoThe Minnesota Twins found out in the middle of their game on Monday against the Detroit Tigers that shortstop Carlos Correa tested positive for COVID-19. Correa wasn't in the starting lineup for the game. The 27-year-old will now be out for an unknown amount of time, and the Twins will be short-handed at the position with shortstop prospect Royce Lewis (knee) going on the injured list earlier in the day. Jorge Polanco started at shortstop on Monday, with Luis Arraez playing the keystone. Nick Gordon and Jose Miranda could also help fill in in the middle infield while Correa is away from the team. Correa is hitting .279/.344/.407 with three home runs, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored in his first 35 games for the Twins.
