Carlos Correa Goes On COVID Injured List
3 years agoThe Minnesota Twins placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday and selected the contract of infielder Jermaine Palacios from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. The Twins found out on Monday that Correa tested positive for the virus. The 27-year-old is vaccinated but isn't feeling well and will need to clear the league's protocols before he's able to return. With prospect Royce Lewis (knee) also on the injured list, Palacios made his major league debut on Tuesday at shortstop and in the nine-hole against the Detroit Tigers. Jorge Polanco can also help fill in at shortstop while Correa recovers. Correa needs to be held in all fantasy formats. He's hitting .279/.344/.407 with three home runs, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored this season.
