Carlos Correa Dealing With Plantar Fasciitis
2 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (foot) has a muscle strain in his left-foot arch and plantar fasciitis. For now, he will avoid a trip to the injured list. "I think we get to Friday and some of our decisions might be made for us," manager Rocco Baldelli said. The Twins scratched Correa from their lineup on Tuesday, and he was also held out of the contest on Wednesday. The club has an off day on Thursday, and it sounds as though they'll know by Friday whether Correa will go on the injured list. Fantasy managers need to prepare for the possibility. If the 28-year-old misses any more time, Kyle Farmer will be the beneficiary of regular playing time at the 6. On top of his injury, Correa has struggled to a .213 average (36-for-169) in 44 games, but he does have 11 doubles, six home runs and 24 RBI.
