Can Quintez Cephus Take The Next Step?
3 years agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Quintez Cephus will have a great opportunity this season to earn more playing time. Cephus had a bumpy rookie campaign last season and caught 20 passes for 349 yards with two touchdowns. He was able to make some downfield plays last season and averaged 17.5 yards per catch but was inactive for three weeks of the season. Now the Lions have a new quarterback (Jared Goff) and a totally revamped wide receiving room that features journeyman like Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman. Cephus can certainly stretch the field with his speed but consistency will be key if the young receiver wants to succeed. Cephus is not a fantasy option at this time until some untapped potential rises to the surface.
