Camilo Villegas is a wily veteran who found a way to finish inside the top 10 at the American Express last week. The Colombian golfer turned an opening-round 72 into an incredible 62 on Friday. That helped Villegas immensely. A 69 and 66 kept him right on the front page of the leaderboard when Sunday ended. The 43-year-old had a disastrous 2024, missing 19 of 25 cuts with one withdrawal, so last weekend meant quite a lot. Villegas can get hot with his putter. He will spray some bogeys as well, like he did in Rounds 1 and 3 the previous week (three each). However, Rounds 2 and 4 were scintillating (17 birdies, one bogey). No one is quite sure what to expect from Villegas at Torrey Pines.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
