Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cal Petersen stopped 21 of 22 shots on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers, leading his team to a 3-1 victory. The 28-year-old was terrific tonight, allowing only a Zach Hyman goal in the second period. Petersen has been shaky this season, compiling a .877 SV% and 3.58 GAA with a miserable -6.4 GSAA. He has, however, managed to win five of his seven starts. The Kings appear to be going with a hot-hand approach at goalie this season, with Jonathan Quick being the benefactor to this point. But, Quick got shelled in his last game and Petersen looked good in this one, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him get more starts in the coming days. The Kings play back-to-backs against the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken this weekend, so expect each goalie to get one of those games.--Matt Garon - RotoBallerRead More News
