Byron Marshall Lands On IR
6 years agoThe Washington Redskins placed running back Byron Marshall (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday after he suffered an ankle injury in the preseason. The team also signed linebacker Josh Keyes as a free agent and added wide receiver Jehu Chesson and tight end J.P. Holtz to the practice squad. Quarterback Nic Shimonek was cut. Marshall joins rookie Derrius Guice on IR before the season even starts. Adrian Peterson will open the year as the starter on early downs, with Chris Thompson working third downs. Samaje Perine and Rob Kelley will fight for scraps.
