Byron Buxton To Be Re-Evaluated Monday
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins will re-evaluate outfielder Byron Buxton (calf) on Monday after he was held out of the starting lineup on Sunday as a precaution. "He probably could have stayed in the game and battled through it. It just was not something that was worth it to do," manager Rocco Baldelli said. Buxton was pulled from Saturday's game early with tightness in his calf, and the team isn't going to take any chances with the oft-injured 29-year-old outfielder. It sounds like a day-to-day situation as of right now, but we should have more information on Buxton's injury before Monday's game. Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if he's in Monday's lineup against the visiting San Francisco Giants. Buxton is hitting only .235 this year, but he does have nine doubles, nine home runs and 21 RBI in 42 games played.
