Bryce Harper Won't Be In Camp Until March
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) will not arrive at spring training with the team until early March, according to manager Rob Thomson. It's not much of a surprise after Harper had Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in late November. The 30-year-old former MVP is expected to be out for most of the first half of the 2023 season, which obviously means his fantasy value this year will take a huge hit. He'll come back first as a designated hitter before eventually returning to starting right field duties for the Phils. Despite the fact that Harper is going to miss around half of the season, he's still ranked as RotoBaller's No. 39 outfielder in fantasy. Harper is worth stashing in all leagues, and those that draft him will be hoping he can pick up right where he left off.
