Bryce Callahan Heading To Short-Term Injured Reserve
3 years agoDenver Broncos cornerback Bryce Callahan (knee) will be placed on the short-term Injured Reserve, according to a source. The Broncos don't think that Callahan will need surgery on his knee, but he'll be forced to miss at least the next three games while on IR. The 30-year-old was injured in the Week 8 win over the Washington Football Team, but they will be hoping to get him back for the stretch run. Callahan has recorded 21 tackles, four passes defensed and one sack in the first eight games of the season. Rookie Patrick Surtain and Ronald Darby are expected to continue starting on the outside for Denver, and the team should be getting cornerbacks Michael Ojemudia and Essang Bassey back from their injuries soon. They will both be candidates to take over for Callahan in the slot.
