Broncos Not Considering IR For Teddy Bridgewater
3 years agoInjured Reserve is not being considered for Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (concussion), according to head coach Vic Fangio. Bridgewater is doing better on Monday, but he's unlikely to play in Week 16 against the Las Vegas Raiders after he had to be taken off the field on a stretcher and a cart in the 15-10 Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The 29-year-old stayed overnight in a local hospital and was released Monday morning. Bridgewater should be able to play again this year, but he'll have to clear the league's concussion protocol, and it sounds as if the Broncos will play it safe and hold him out this week. Drew Lock threw a touchdown but also lost a crucial fumble in relief of Bridgewater on Sunday. He'll merely be a desperation low-end QB2 in two-QB leagues if he makes his first start of the season in Week 16.
