Broncos Defense Steps Up Against Washington
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense had an impressive performance in the 17-10 win over the Washington Football Team in Week 8 on Sunday. And they did it without star linebacker Von Miller (ankle), who was held out after suffering an ankle injury in the Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Not only did they allow only 10 points in the game, but they managed to turn the ball over twice (both interceptions by star safety Justin Simmons). During the team's four-game losing streak, the Broncos D had managed just one takeaway, so this was an encouraging development. Denver's defense also got to quarterback Taylor Heinicke for five sacks on the day. The Broncos defense/special teams is far from elite, but they'll be on the streaming radar when they face below-average offenses.
