Brock Purdy Has Moderately Difficult Matchup
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will try to extend his storybook season with a Wild Card Round matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks' pass defense is slightly above average. It ranks No. 13 at limiting passing yards per game and No. 16 at limiting yards per attempt. The Seahawks' talented backfield includes CB Tariq Woolen, who tied for the league lead with six interceptions, and S Quandre Diggs, who made four interceptions. Diggs nearly picked off a poorly-thrown pass by Purdy in Week 15, but he couldn't hold on. Purdy finished that game with 217 yards and two touchdowns on 17-of-26 passing. The 23-year-old is a capable option with good chemistry with his team's many weapons in the Wild Card Round. However, given the uncertainty over whether Jimmy Garoppolo will return as the starter later, you might want to avoid the rookie in post-season formats that reward bonuses for starting the same players in consecutive games.
