Brian Robinson Expected To Start On Thursday
2 years agoWashington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson is expected to start on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. Robinson led the team's backfield in the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans in his NFL debut, so this shouldn't be a huge surprise. But it's a great story for the 23-year-old, who got a late start to the season after undergoing surgery following gunshot wounds during an attempted robbery before the start of the season. He had nine carries for 22 yards last week and will be Washington's primary option on early downs moving forward. However, the presence of both Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic will keep his upside limited, making him more of an RB3/flex option in his second career game.
