Brent Rooker Continues to Outperform Alex Kirilloff
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Brent Rooker went 1-for-2 and had another double on Friday against the Atlanta Braves. The prospect is hoping to break camp with the Twins as the starting left fielder and he's outperforming his biggest competition — fellow rookie Alex Kirilloff. The former is 8-for-20 (.400) with three doubles and a home run, while the latter is 4-for-28 (.143) with a double and a homer. Rooker has noticeable swing-and-miss to his game but also has massive raw power and a willingness to take a walk. If given regular playing time, he could hit 25-30 home runs after posting a .254 ISO rate in Triple-A in 2019. He's currently ranked by Rotoballer as the sixth-best outfield prospect for 2021 redraft leagues.
