The Atlanta Braves took Riverside-Brookfield High School right-hander Owen Murphy with the 20th overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft on Sunday. Many probably saw this pick as a bit of a reach, but he's a talented two-way player who looked really good last summer and again this spring. Murphy showcases a low-90s fastball, is able to throw his slider for strikes and also mixes in a curveball and changeup. The 18-year-old can throw all four of his pitches for strikes and finished among the national high school leaders with 18 home runs at the plate. However, he'll be a full-time pitcher moving forward in the Braves organization. Murphy has plenty of time to develop, but he'll be a name to monitor over the next couple of years.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
