Brandon Nimmo Injures Quad Wednesday
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (quadriceps) left the game early on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers with left quadriceps tightness. Nimmo went 1-for-1 and stole a base in the first inning before leaving the game, so perhaps he injured his leg on his stolen base. Until we know more on the severity of his injury, consider him day-to-day. The 29-year-old entered the day with a .263/.359/.417 slash line, 14 home runs, a league-leading seven triples, 56 RBI, 93 runs scored and two stolen bases in 633 plate appearances and 141 games. The Mets surely don't want to lose their regular leadoff hitter and center fielder as they attempt to win the National League East division in the final two weeks of the regular season.
