Brandin Cooks Missing Again Thursday
3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks (illness) remains out of practice again on Thursday with a non-COVID-19-related illness. Cooks might need to get in a practice session on Friday in order to play in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts. Danny Amendola (knee) could miss up to four weeks with a knee injury he suffered in the Week 12 loss to the New York Jets, so the Texans passing attack would be extremely thin if Cooks' illness keeps him out or limits him this Sunday. Rookie Nico Collins would likely be Houston's top pass-catcher, with Chris Conley, who is also dealing with an illness, and Chris Moore seeing expanded roles on offense. If Cooks plays, he'll continue being a WR2 for the volume alone as a target hog in the Texans offense.
