Brad Hand Picks Up Fifth Save On Wednesday Night
Brad Hand recorded his fifth save of the year on Wednesday night, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three in one inning of work. A solo home run off the bat of Javier Baez was the lone mistake of Hand's outing, as he now owns a 3.14 ERA and has 17 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings of work this season. Hand has been struggling a bit this month with five earned runs allowed in 5 1/3 innings of work, but for now he is still the main closer in Washington.
