7 months agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell added to his Cy Young case Sunday versus Toronto. He would go 6 2/3 innings allowing no runs and striking out 11. Snell is now 21-5 with a 1.90 ERA on the season. He set a new franchise record for wins in a season with 21 which broke David Price's previous record of 20 wins. Snell has one more outing this season on Saturday versus these same Blue Jays. Barring a miracle, it will be Snell's last start of the season. The Rays would have to win their last seven while Oakland loses their final six. That would force a tie and then the Rays would need to beat Oakland in a tiebreaker game.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller
